I am writing this letter for the kitchen makeover contest. I believe that I should win the kitchen makeover for the following reasons:

• My current kitchen was installed approximately 60 years ago-that would make my kitchen older than me!
• My kitchen cannot be categorized as retro-it’s older than that!
• My kitchen has layers of linoleum-although each and every pattern was in style during their era, none of them are in style now, and the last layer is un-removable, trust me I tried!
• My kitchen has black and white checkered tile wall-oh wait-not really tile, but some form of wallboard!
• My kitchen cabinets are metal-which were painted about 40 years ago!

All kidding aside my kitchen is in desperate need of an update. The only update my kitchen has received over the past 60 years was new paint, stove and refrigerator. I would like to thank you in advance for considering my kitchen as a candidate for the makeover.
