In February, 2009, my family experienced a severe
tragedy in our precious home that we work very hard
to maintain. We had a flood!
It was an unfortunate occurrence that set-us back
tremendously. The dishwasher unexpectedly started
spraying out an excessive amount of water that could
not be stopped. There was such a significant amount
of water, it flowed to our dining room and our
living rooms areas. Thankfully, we were wise enough
to carry flood insurance, but we could only afford a
small policy that didn't carry the total cost of the
damages. Although we did have laminated floors in
our kitchen, dining room and living room, there was
still a significant amount of damages we couldn’t
afford.
Currently, we are striving to fix up our house a
little bit at a time, but it’s hard. And through all
of the mess, I managed to graduate from college as
an adult student, managing many priorities, and
balancing work and family – my first priority!
Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time or money to
fix everything at once.
If I was to win “the Desperate Kitchen Contest” my
worries would be eliminated!!! My kitchen is one of
the most important rooms in my home. There are many
occasions when the kitchen is the most special place
in the house.
Holidays, birthdays and many other special events
are recognized at home with a special meal. This
contest seems to be the perfect answer to our
prayers. Thank you in advance for any consideration.
